Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Essential Bio Labs collects when you use essentialbiolabs.net, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
When you request a quote
Our contact form collects your name, email address, an optional phone number, the compound you are asking about, and whatever you write in the message. It also records your confirmation that you are 21 or older and buying for research use. This is emailed to our team and is not published anywhere on the site.
When you place an order
To fulfil an order we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order. This is stored in our WordPress and WooCommerce installation so that we can process, ship, and account for the order.
Automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs, including IP address, browser type, and pages requested. The site sets cookies necessary for the shopping cart and checkout to function, and stores your cookie-consent choice and your 21+ confirmation in your own browser. You can manage non-essential cookies through the consent banner at any time.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers. We do not collect information about health, medical conditions, or intended personal use, and we ask that you do not send us any.
Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry and provide a quote.
- To take, fulfil, ship, and account for an order.
- To meet our record-keeping obligations, including age and research-use attestations.
- To protect the site from fraud and abuse.
Who else sees it
We share the minimum necessary with:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
- Our email provider, which delivers quote requests and order notifications.
- USPS, which receives the name and address needed to deliver your parcel.
- Our payment provider, where applicable, which handles payment details directly. We do not store card numbers.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are retained while a commercial conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Order records, including age and research-use attestations, are retained as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Server logs are retained on a short rolling basis.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to Customersupport@essentialbiolabs.net and we will respond within a reasonable time. Note that we may need to retain order records where the law requires it, even after a deletion request.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to the administrative area is restricted and monitored. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
Age
This site is not directed to anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published here.
